Privacy
GlagStone playtest builds may send limited gameplay events used to understand demo progression, completion and pacing between quests.
Data included
- Game build version and event timestamp.
- Random session and playthrough identifiers.
- Quest, task and milestone state changes identified by internal narrative IDs.
- Elapsed session, active gameplay and simulation time.
Data not included
We do not send SteamID, Steam username, email address, save contents, dialogue text, free-form player text or advertising identifiers.
Processing and retention
Events are processed and stored using Cloudflare Workers and D1. Raw gameplay events are retained for up to 180 days and then deleted or converted into aggregate reports. Cloudflare necessarily processes network information such as an IP address to deliver a request, but the telemetry event database does not store it.
Random identifiers are not connected to a Steam account or real-world identity. This also means we normally cannot identify which anonymous records belong to a particular player.
Playtest builds may send a bounded error message and technical stack trace when the game encounters a fatal, background-thread or explicitly reported handled error. These reports also include the game build, operating system, processor architecture, LÖVE version and the current screen or subsystem when available.
Home-directory prefixes and control characters are removed before upload. Error reports are stored in a database separate from gameplay telemetry, are not linked to playthrough or session identifiers, and are deleted after 90 days.
This website is hosted by Cloudflare. Embedded video and outbound links to Steam, YouTube and social platforms are governed by those services’ privacy policies.
